I remember the day like yesterday, the day my dad went to the orthopedist to figure out what kind of treatment he would need to alleviate the arthritis in his knees. Unfortunately the orthopedist had some bad news for my dad that day; the condition of his knees had degraded to the point that there were no other treatment options left for him, either he was going to have to take prescription pain killers for the rest of his life or get a double knee replacement. I could immediately tell that my dad felt defeated, as he had tried all kinds of alternative treatments for his knees but nothing had worked. He told me the ultimatum that his doctor had given him, and how he felt like he was stuck between a rock and a hard place. He didn't want to take opioid pain killers because to him that only felt like a temporary fix, and it wasn't worth the laundry list of negative side effects that come with taking opioids. The option of having both of his knees replaced would be a major medical operation, and not only would he would be bedridden for months, but the risk for developing a potentially life-threatening infection from the operation was high.

It was at that point we realized there must be some kind of alternative treatment; my dad's knees had gotten so bad that he could just barely shuffle around, so we desperately needed to find something that would get him back to walking normally. We could tell it was taking a toll on him, both physically and mentally.

Luckily around this same time we found out about something that would eventually change our lives: CBD. As farmers, we started hearing about CBD after the 2018 Farm Bill had been passed, which federally legalized the growing/manufacturing of hemp. As CBD hit the market, we began hearing from close friends and family about the many benefits of CBD. So my dad decided to try it out with minimal expectations, but at that point he was desperate to try anything.

And surprisingly enough, the CBD actually worked!

Each day my dad took his CBD hemp oil, and as the days went on he began to have less pain in his knees and was able to walk more freely. Our family all thought it was a miracle, and I could tell that my dad was starting to feel like his normal self again.

I distinctly remember around this time my dad and I were talking about CBD and how amazed we were by its beneficial effects, and we came to a conclusion: what if we started growing our own hemp and made our own CBD hemp oil?

So, that's what we did.

We got our hemp growing license and got to work. Initially we wanted to grow hemp just for our own personal use, then we started giving our homemade hemp oils to friends and family who were also having great results with it. With all this positive feedback, we realized that hemp was something special that we wanted to share with everyone. This is when we created Hidden Hollow Hemp Farm, an outlet for us to spread the amazing healing properties of the cannabis plant. We began making different products from our hemp, then we went around to festivals and farmers markets to sell our hemp products with great success. In 2022 we saved up enough funds to rent a space for our dispensary and create our online store. Now we can share our products with even more people.

We have put an immense amount of passion into each of our products, and we hope you love them as much as we do.
